Admission to the Grammy Museum will be free on Saturday, Nov. 9, through the support of Latin music pioneers Intocable.
Celebrate Latin music and culture through educational and community-based events. In addition to free admission to the museum, the first 300 attendees will receive a free taco lunch on the Ray Charles Terrace and parking vouchers for the L.A. Live East Garage.
The celebration opens with the Mariachi Tierra Mia band, followed by a panel on diversity in Latin music with vocalists and musicians Estevie, Carla Morrison and Oskar Cartaya; Yvonne Drazan, vice president of the Latin division at Peermusic; and Afro-Peruvian folk dance artist Nadia Calmet. Latin Grammy and Grammy winner Claudia Brant will moderate the panel discussion in the Clive Davis Theatre.
Leslie Ferreira, from 3rd Street Dance Studio, will teach a salsa lesson on the Ray Charles Terrace after lunch, and the event will conclude with Lucky Diaz and the Family Jam Band.
While visiting the museum, check out the Intocable artifacts on display in the current exhibit “Latin GRAMMYs 25 – A Legacy of Musical Excellence.” The event will kick off the Latin Grammys airing on Thursday, Nov. 14.
Intocable has been a longtime supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, hosting benefit concerts and making donations. Music Gives to St. Jude Kids is the event’s charity partner.
The hours are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Nov. 9. The Grammy Museum is located at 800 W. Olympic Blvd. For information, visit grammymuseum.org.
