Step into the spirit of the season with the Advent Festival of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m. at All Saints’ Beverly Hills. The enchanting evening features choral music, timeless carols and scripture readings to mark the beginning of Advent.

Under the direction of Canon Dr. Craig Phillips, the festival weaves together beloved traditions and beautiful performances, including works by Thomas Foster, Elizabeth Poston, Franz Biebl and All Saints’ Craig Phillips. Highlights include “Jesus Christ the Apple Tree,” “Ave Maria” and “The Cherry Tree Carol.”

Originating over a century ago at King’s College in Cambridge, the service of Lessons and Carols has become a cherished tradition worldwide, and All Saints’ continues to bring this moving celebration to Beverly Hills. All are invited to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the season and embrace the beauty, hope and peace of Advent.
