Beverly Hills Vice Mayor Sharona Nazarian and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky, 5th District, came together with members of the Iranian American Jewish community on Aug. 15 to discuss issues such as increasing public safety, reducing homelessness, combating rising antisemitism and fostering community and civic engagement.

“As we gathered around the table, it became clear that while our district is home to many different communities, each with its own specific needs, we are also united by our shared values and common goals,” Yaroslavsky said.

“It was my honor to host Los Angeles Councilmember Katy Yaroslavsky from the Fifth District at Beverly Hills City Hall, where we gathered with leaders from the Persian Jewish community for an intimate roundtable discussion. We explored the unique needs and concerns of this vibrant community, working together to ensure that every voice is heard and every community is supported,” Nazarian said. “After 45 years of shared history and experiences, it is more crucial than ever that the Persian Jewish community remains united, standing together, having a seat at the table.”
