D Line subway construction continues in late July and early August along Wilshire Boulevard. Metro is advising about lane closures and potential impacts caused by construction.

Street restoration work is ongoing near the Wilshire/Western and Wilshire/La Brea stations. For the next four months, a K-rail work zone will be in place along the north side of Wilshire Boulevard near Western Avenue. Crews are repairing the street around the Wilshire/Western construction staging yard. Wilshire Boulevard is reduced to two lanes in each direction between Oxford Avenue and Saint Andrews Place.

Near the Wilshire/La Brea station, crews are repairing sidewalks, curbs and street surfaces. Detroit Street will be intermittently closed at Wilshire Boulevard through October to support ongoing street restoration work. The closures will be from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 6 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Wilshire Boulevard is reduced to two lanes in each direction between Highland Avenue and Detroit Street through August. A K-rail is in place on the south side of Wilshire Boulevard between La Brea and Mansfield avenues to support the replacement of sidewalks, curbs, gutters and streetlights on the south side of Wilshire Boulevard.

For approximately three months, a K-rail work zone is implemented in the middle lanes of Wilshire Boulevard between Fairfax and Spaulding avenues. Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction in the area.

Through September 2024, Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction at La Jolla Avenue. A K-rail enclosure is located on the west side of the Wilshire/La Jolla intersection to support underground cross passage work.

At the Wilshire/La Cienega station, eastbound Wilshire Boulevard will be intermittently closed between La Cienega and San Vicente boulevards overnight from 8 p.m.-7 a.m. The closures will occur from July 28 through Aug. 2 for ongoing utility work along Wilshire Boulevard.

North Gale Drive will be closed at Wilshire Boulevard from 5 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, through 4 p.m. on Friday, July 26. Near the Wilshire/Rodeo station, ground improvement and cross passage work, geotechnical instrumentation and station construction are ongoing. Crews are working on Wilshire Boulevard between South Beverly and Cañon drives and on South Beverly Drive. Lanes on Wilshire Boulevard will be intermittently reduced between El Camino and Crescent drives. Lane reductions will also occur on South Beverly and Reeves drives near Wilshire Boulevard.
