Approximately 50 community members helped beautify the Miracle Mile on April 13 during Operation Sparkle, a cleanup on Wilshire Boulevard organized by the Miracle Mile Residential Association, the Mid City West Neighborhood Council and The Mirabel. Volunteers filled dozens of bags with hundreds of pounds of trash along the Wilshire corridor. The MMRA made arrangements for private disposal. Los Angeles City Councilwoman Katy Yaroslavsky, 5th District, and the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Division joined the group. Food was provided by El Cartel tacos, SK Donuts, Starbucks coffee, Caribbean Soul Kitchen and Cafe Willow. The event is held annually. For information, visit miraclemilela.com.
