West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested one male suspect and are searching for another assailant who assaulted a victim on Feb. 15 in the 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard.

The assault with a deadly weapon incident occurred around 1:20 a.m. when two men became involved in an argument with the victim, who was walking on the sidewalk. The two suspects, who were holding flashlights, struck the victim. The assault was captured on security camera video.

Deputies located one of the suspects a short distance away from the crime scene and took him into custody. The suspect was not identified. Investigators are searching for the second suspect who is described as a male adult, possibly white, approximately 30-40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 190 pounds. The suspect is seen walking a dog in the video.

No information was provided about the victim’s injuries. The sheriff’s department released a video of the assault that can be viewed by visiting lasdvideos.org/mediaportal/whd.
