Beverly Hills Police Department officers arrested a man for burglary on Christmas Day after a resident who was away from his home saw the suspect in his house on security video, police said.

The burglary was reported at 1:15 p.m. on Dec. 25 in the 1100 block of Hillcrest Place, near Trousdale Estates. The homeowner called police and BHPD officers responded to the residence.

They located and arrested Rene Alfredo Evangelista Prado, 22. He was charged with residential burglary, possession of ammunition and possession of drug paraphernalia.
