The city of Beverly Hills held its annual Holiday Craft Fair and Cookie Baking Contest on Dec. 10 at the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market.

Hundreds of people attended the event, which featured goods and items from local artisans. The fair also included a Cookie Baking Contest with 28 contestants. A distinguished panel of judges – Mayor Dr. Julian Gold, Councilmembers John Mirisch and Sharona Nazarian, Recreation and Parks chair Myra Lurie and Uzma Majid, owner of Uzzi’s Cookies – had the difficult task of selecting the Best Looking Cookie and first, second and third place winners for the Best Tasting Cookie.

ZaneCovington won Best-Looking Cookie in Beverly Hills and $50 to spend at the Beverly Hills Farmers Market for his Chocolate Christmas Tree Star Cookie.

Third place for the Best Tasting Cookie and $50 in Beverly Hills Farmers Market money was awarded to Esther Bronowicz for her Double Chocolate Peppermint Cookie.

Second place for the Best Tasting Cookie and $100 in Beverly Hills Farmers Market money was awarded to Ruby Matenko for her Oatmeal Blueberry Chocolate Chunk Cookie. First place, along with the title of Best Tasting Cookie in Beverly Hills and $200 in Beverly Hills Farmers Market money, was awarded to Lisa Licht for her Chocolate Chip Cookie.
