A motorcyclist was killed after colliding with a vehicle at approximately 8:55 a.m. on Aug. 1 at the intersection of Beverly Boulevard and La Brea Avenue.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and performed life-saving medical procedures on the motorcyclist, who was not identified. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange said, and later died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division are investigating. Sgt. S. Dolan, with the West Traffic Division, said alcohol or drug impairment was not a factor and the other driver was not arrested or cited.
Based on a preliminary investigation, it appears the motorcyclist was traveling west on Beverly Boulevard and struck a Tesla making a left turn from eastbound Beverly Boulevard onto La Brea Avenue, Dolan said.
