The first-ever MADE in Beverly Hills architecture and design festival, now through May 7, celebrates the city’s architecture, art, culture and community with more than 20 events, including tours, films and a luncheon fashion show.
The festival began with the Night at the Mansion reception at Greystone Mansion on May 3, where guests enjoyed wine and refreshments while mingling in the mansion’s courtyards before catching a sunset performance of The Dreamboats after the sun sets.
Mystery Murals and Cocktails at The Beverly Hilton’s Sant’olina on May 5 gives guests a chance to learn about the murals recently uncovered behind the hotel’s Sant’olina bar while enjoying signature cocktails. Tickets are $25.
The festival also features a wide selection of tours, including the free Architectural Trolley Ride, which takes guests on a four-mile loop through the city and has an accompanying app that provides additional photos, videos and self-guided walking tours. The trolley departs on the Crescent Drive side of City Hall every day of the festival at the top of the hour from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Virginia Robinson Gardens Tour, May 4-6 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., showcases the gardens different themed areas spread over six acres, including a rose garden, a palm grove, a butterfly garden and an impressive collection of rare and exotic plants from around the world. Tickets are $40.
Anyone with a sweet tooth will love the Edelweiss Chocolates Tour, an inside look at Edelweiss Chocolates, the oldest chocolate shop in Los Angeles and the inspiration behind the famous chocolate factory scene in “I Love Lucy.” Tickets are $10.
MADE in Beverly Hills also features a variety of fashion-centric programming, talks and drink and food specials prepared by the city’s restaurants.
