The city of West Hollywood is holding “I Know You See Me,” a free panel discussion on visibility for lesbian/queer women in the arts on Tuesday, April 25, at 7 p.m. in City Council chambers, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd.
The panelists are Diana Diaz, co-founder of the Queer Mercado craft fair; Dorothy Randall Gray, one of two new poets featured on West Hollywood’s National Poetry Month banners this year; traci kato-kiriyama, a multidisciplinary artist and poet who recently published a new book “Navigating With(out) Instruments”; artist Britt Westveer, whose mural will be featured on West Hollywood City Hall in June; and Gina Young, a writer, director, performer and creator of SORORITY, a new works salon. The panel will be moderated by healing artist Jasolyn Harris, pastor of The Way Los Angeles, a BIPOC-centered, queer-affirming Christian interdenominational church.
The discussion is part of West Hollywood’s Lesbian Speakers Series of free talks, performances, film screenings and readings. For information, visit weho.org.
