Holocaust Museum Los Angeles is hosting a Yom HaShoa commemoration on Sunday, April 16, at 2 p.m. The outdoor ceremony at Pan Pacific Park will honor survivors of the Holocaust and those who died, while marking the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and the uprisings at the Sobibor and Treblinka Death Camps.
Keynote speaker Jeffrey Abrams, Anti-Defamation League Los Angeles regional director will be joined by Mayor Karen Bass, survivor Harry Davids and Wilshire Boulevard Temple Emerita Rabbi Karen Fox.
Survivor Herbert Zipper will perform a musical composition with assistance from The Colburn School, and survivors David Lenga and Henry Slucki will lead a performance of The Partisan Song.
The event is in partnership with the ADL, Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the American Jewish Committee.
