Beverly Hills Mayor Julian Gold and the City Council on April 18 recognized Israel’s Independence Day and presented a proclamation to Hillel Newman, consul general of Israel in Los Angeles. To honor Israel’s Independence Day, which will be observed on Tuesday, April 25, the city will illuminate the Crescent Drive side of City Hall in the colors of the Israeli and American flags on April 25-26 to show solidarity. The consul general also recognized Councilmember Lili Bosse at the meeting with a certificate for her service as mayor, and presented Gold with a letter of congratulations.
