The city of Beverly Hills and the Beverly Hills Community Services Department will hold the annual Beverly Hills Art Show on Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. in Beverly Gardens Park.
“This year’s 50th Anniversary Art Show will be truly a special event,” Beverly Hills Mayor Julian Gold said. “There’s no better place to experience immersive and innovative art than right here in our beautiful Beverly Gardens Park. We’ll be showcasing more artists than we ever have before, making this a golden anniversary event no one should miss.”
More than 230 local, national and international artists will showcase their work in painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, drawing, watercolor, traditional printmaking, photography and jewelry. The 2023 art show will include nearly 85 new artists. A beer and wine garden, gourmet food vendors, beverage trucks and artist demonstrations will be offered at the show.
The Beverly Hills Art Show started 50 years ago as an “Affaire in the Garden” after artist and caricaturist Gil Borgos convinced then-deputy director Michelle Marrell to start a small arts and crafts fair on one block in Beverly Gardens Park. The art show is now held along four blocks from Rodeo Drive to Rexford Drive and attracts over 40,000 people throughout the weekend.
Sponsors and partners include the Los Angeles Art Association, NoHo Arts District, LAArt Party, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Blank Beverage, SALT Catering, the Beverly Hills Conference & Visitors Bureau, the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Beverly Hills Historical Society.
