Philipp Fleischmann, Céline Brunko and Simona Ferrari are the new artists and architects-in-residence at the MAK Center.
The MAK Center has welcomed artists and architects-in-residence Philipp Fleischmann, Céline Brunko and Simona Ferrari, who will serve through Sept. 12.
Every year the MAK Artists and Architects-in-Residence Program offers six-month residencies to international artists and architects, selected by an international jury through an annual competition. Group LIII residents will live and work in the Mackey Apartments and present projects in an exhibition at the end of their term in September.
The residency program provides a platform for a select group of international artists and architects to reside in our Mackey Apartments while operating within the environs of Los Angeles. The program extends long-term support to projects that involve the intersection of architecture and the visual arts, promoting fresh interdisciplinary opportunities and confrontations.
The program is funded by the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport, in cooperation with the MAK – Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna.
