The city of Beverly Hills has begun a construction project on Coldwater Canyon Drive to replace an aging water pipeline. Work on the project will occur through early 2024 and will take place from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Only one lane will be open in each direction on Coldwater Canyon Drive between Rexford and Monte Cielo drives. In some locations, only one lane will be open for both directions, and traffic controls will be in place.
Motorists are urged to use alternate routes, be courteous and yield to people entering and exiting driveways in the area.
Replacing the pipelines is critical to maintaining the city’s water infrastructure. The pipes were installed from the 1920s to 1960s and have experienced several water main breaks in recent years, city officials said.
