On Sunday, March 12, a new arts and culture festival will launch at the Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market, 9300 Civic Center Drive.
Festival Beverly Hills will showcase communities around the world with food, music, dance, workshops and pop-up activations.
“I am so excited that we will be bringing incredible cultures to the forefront of our community, so that we can celebrate the beauty of diversity that makes our world truly a better place,” Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse said. “This festival is the perfect way for all of us to come together to learn and be inspired.”
The culturally-diverse activities include workshops in Persian spice-making and a Nowruz table display; mariachi, folklorico and contemporary Indian dance performances; globally inspired arts and crafts; a science-themed Women’s History Month project; and a Chinese New Year Lion Dance.
Festival Beverly Hills is part of the Embrace and Celebrate Culture Initiative, created to develop projects celebrating diversity and fostering a greater culture of inclusion, equity and belonging. It is a partnership between the city and its Arts and Culture Commission, Human Relations Commission and Next Beverly Hills Committee.
