Re “Subway work changes landscape at Wilshire/Fairfax,” Feb. 9 issue
The Purple Line Metro construction on Wilshire at Ogden has for years disrupted the life of every homeowner, tenant and business owner in the area, especially the people who live, own and rent in the 700 block of Ogden. The constant drilling, banging, cutting, dumping, throwing, smashing and moving creates strong earthquake-like vibrations that can be felt constantly.
You can be sitting on your sofa and hear and feel the building shake, the TV move, the windows rattle. This has been addressed multiple times to Metro and they allow you to finish your complaint and tell you they will see what they can do, but really they are brushing you off with the intent of not doing anything to fix the problem. No respect for home owners, tenants and business owners.
Many buildings on Ogden have foundation damage because of the constant digging, banging, cutting, dumping and drilling from the heavy orange yellow construction crane. How can it be that so many people complain and nothing gets done? Tenants, homeowners and business owners have rights too.
