Learn about current work on the Purple Line Extension subway project during an in person meeting on Wednesday, March 1, from 6-7 p.m., in the Beverly Hills City Hall Municipal Gallery, 455 N. Rexford Drive.

Metro is also advising about subway construction occurring in late February. Street restoration work continues around the Wilshire/La Brea station, where crews are creating new sidewalks, curbs and road surfaces. Two lanes will remain open in each direction between Highland and La Brea avenues. Left turns will be restricted at La Brea, Sycamore, Mansfield and Citrus avenues, as well as Orange Drive.
At Wilshire/Fairfax, work is ongoing in a construction staging yard at Wilshire Boulevard and Ogden Drive, and in a K-rail work zone along the north side of Wilshire Boulevard. Traffic lanes have been reconfigured to the south side of the street for approximately three months. Wilshire Boulevard has been reduced to two lanes in each direction between Spaulding Avenue and San Diego Way. A K-rail enclosure also remains in place at Wilshire Boulevard and La Jolla Avenue.
At the Wilshire/La Cienega station, work is ongoing 24 hours within two construction staging yards and at street level along the south side of the street. Wilshire Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes in each direction between La Cienega and San Vicente boulevards, and may intermittently be reduced to one lane in each direction. Turns from Wilshire Boulevard on to Tower, Gale and Hamilton drives will be restricted, and Gale and Hamilton drives may be closed intermittently at Wilshire Boulevard.
Ground improvement work is ongoing at the Wilshire/Rodeo station in preparation for cross passage tunneling. Crews are also conducting utility work and installing permanent electrical power feeds to the station between Dayton Way and Rexford Drive. Potholing for future appendage work is also ongoing and sidewalk and lane closures may be implemented in the area.
Wilshire Boulevard will remain open with three lanes in each direction from 7-9 a.m. and 4-8:15 p.m. between El Camino and Crescent drives. From 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Wilshire Boulevard may be reduced to two lanes in each direction, and from 8:15 p.m.-7 a.m., Wilshire Boulevard may be reduced to one lane in each direction between El Camino and Crescent drives.
Station construction is also ongoing in Century City, where excavation is nearing completion. Preliminary work to construct appendages and side structures along the subway station has commenced. Crews are also relocating storm drains and installing permanent electrical power feeds to the new station.
Partial traffic lane closures are currently in place on Constellation Boulevard to facilitate station excavation, hauling and material deliveries. Eastbound and westbound vehicle access on Constellation Boulevard is being maintained between Century Park West and Century Park East.
Instrumentation installation is occurring through March 31 at the Westwood/UCLA station on Wilshire Boulevard between Galey and Veteran avenues. Three westbound traffic lanes on Wilshire Boulevard will be closed from 11 p.m.-6 a.m., Monday through Friday.
