Re “Bike lanes OK’d on Santa Monica Blvd. in WeHo,” Feb. 9 issue

[West Hollywood City Councilman] John Erickson obviously sees what he wants to see and talks to who he wants to talk to.

Everyone I speak with dreads making Santa Monica Boulevard tighter than it already is, making congestion worse.

We do need alternative transportation options. First, we need rail lines, preferably raised lines that can be completed quickly. Then we can take away already jammed traffic lanes for bicycle use. But not before then.
