The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts presents the Los Angeles premiere of Wise Children’s “Wuthering Heights” from Wednesday, Jan. 11, through Sunday, Jan. 22, in the Bram Goldsmith Theater.
The production, adapted and directed by Emma Rice, includes music, dance, passion and hope, transforming Emily Bronte’s masterpiece into a story of revenge for modern time. Rescued from the Liverpool docks as a child, Heathcliff is taken to live at Wuthering Heights, where he finds a kindred spirit in Catherine, and love ignites. When they are forced apart, a brutal chain of events is unleashed.
The engagement is a National Theatre, Wise Children, Bristol Old Vic and York Theatre Royal co-production, in association with Berkeley Repertory Theatre.
Tickets start at $39. The Wallis is located at 9390 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Beverly Hills. For information, visit thewallis.org/wh.
