The Los Angeles Dodgers is holding winter camps for children, with sessions on Jan. 21-22 and Jan. 28-29.
Give a child the once-in-a-lifetime experience of playing on the field at Dodger Stadium. Campers will develop their skills in all areas of the game including hitting, fielding, base running and pitching.
In addition to instruction from the Dodgers Training Academy, Dodgers Minor League prospects will participate in the camps, giving children an opportunity to meet the next generation of Dodgers. Past Minor League participants on the current Dodgers roster include Walker Buehler, Will Smith, Gavin Lux and Dustin May.
The winter camps are for children ages 7-14. Sign up for either morning or afternoon sessions on each weekend. The sessions will be held from 8 a.m.-noon and from 1-5 p.m. The cost is $450 per 8-hour session.
Players ages 15-18 are encouraged to register for the Advanced Infield Clinic at Dodger Stadium on Jan 21-22, from 2-5 p.m. Infielders can learn from instructors on the field at Dodger Stadium. Led by 20-year Division 1 coach Jesse Zepeda, who is assisted by current Dodgers minor league prospects, the camp will focus on advanced techniques. The cost is $450.
Softball players are also encouraged to register for the Softball All-Skills Camp on Jan. 28-29, from 1-5 p.m. at Dodger Stadium and learn from professional softball instructors. The program is led by the staff at Softball University and the Los Angeles Dodgers Training Academy, and assisted by current Dodgers minor league prospects. The camp is for players ages 7-14. The cost is $450
