Los Angeles city and county officials came together in Grand Park on Dec. 15 for a Hanukkah celebration and menorah lighting with the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. The event raised awareness about the federation’s Shine a Light campaign addressing increases in antisemitism and hate. Mayor Karen Bass (seated center) was joined by Rabbi Noah Farkas (seated left), president and CEO of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and County Supervisor Hilda Solis (seated right), as well as many other civic leaders including new Los Angeles City Councilmembers Katy Young Yaroslavsky (standing left), 5th District, and Hugo Soto-Martinez (standing second from left), 13 District, and County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath (standing sixth from left), 3rd District.
