Local real estate professional and longtime Beverly Grove resident Rosalie Klein cut a ribbon at the Dec. 4 dedication ceremony for a specialized ambulance that will be sent to Israel. Klein donated $125,000 to American Friends of Magen David Adom for the specialized ambulance, which will be stationed in Jerusalem. Magen David Adom, which serves as Israel’s Red Cross, provides emergency medical services as well as blood services. The organization is not government funded and exists solely on donations. Klein donated the ambulance in tribute to her late husband, Morrie Flaster, and her parents, Miklos and Dora Klein. The ceremony was held at Chabad of Beverly Hills, and Klein was joined by Anette Flaster, left, and Anna Ben Yosef. For information, visit afmda.org.
