Fanny’s Christmas Eve Dinner

Vodkas and Latkes at AKASHA Restaurant
Celebrate Akasha Richmond’s favorite cocktails and dishes throughout the week of Hanukkah. Enjoy special latkes offered for dine in, takeout and delivery. In addition to her regular menu, starting on Sunday, Dec. 18 through Friday, Dec. 23, Richmond is offering her famous Yukon Gold potato pancakes with apple sauce and sour cream. Her menu also includes starters of chopped chicken liver or a vegan green pea and walnut faux liver. Enjoy with an array of vodka cocktails named Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel made with vodka and citrus; and a Jelly Donut made with Blenheim apricot jam, cranberry and mint-infused vodka and Meyer lemon. Light The Menorah is made with Buddha’s hand-infused vodka, lavender blue lemonade and citrus sugar. Entrées include Creekstone Farms first cut brisket with onion gravy, potato pancakes, apple sauce and roasted carrots or a roasted chicken with tangerines, dates, olives, couscous and Za’atar roasted chickpeas with pistachios, dried apricots and Meyer lemon. Michelin stars for Pasta|Bar
Chefs and owners Phillip Frankland Lee and Margarita Kallas-Lee received one Michelin star for the second year at Pasta|Bar. The award was given for their 12-course tasting menu with a focus on fresh pasta, inspired by the flavors of Los Angeles and complemented by the culinary techniques of Italy. The progressive, seasonal California market-inspired menu begins with Kallas-Lee’s sourdough bread, made daily with house-made cultured butter. Beverage director Gavin Humes’ wine-focused pairings include international varietals from France, Italy and Germany. In addition, Pasta|Bar offers a year-round “Cello” program, which utilizes imperfect fruits or leftover fruits or vegetable trimmings from the kitchen to make creative cellos, including fennel-cello, persimmon-cello, strawberry-cello and a classic citrus cello. Two Michelin stars for Providence
James Beard award-winning chef and owner Michael Cimarusti has been lauded for culinary excellence since the first day Providence opened its doors in 2005. Known as a pillar of sustainably driven dining for nearly two decades, Providence retained their coveted two-star Michelin rating in the California section of the 2023 Michelin Guide. Michelin awarded Camphor
The DTLA Arts District French bistro Camphor received one star recognition in the 2023 Michelin Guide. Having just opened in February 2022, Camphor is one of the newest additions to join the revered list. Co-executive chefs Lijo George and Max Boonthanakit worked together in the kitchen at Alain Ducasse’s acclaimed Blue in Bangkok. The menu is a melding of French techniques and subtle Indian flavors.
