The Beverly Hills Bar Association announced their 2022 toys and clothes drive for clients of Inner City Visions, a South Central nonprofit dedicated to providing gang intervention, immediate crisis care, prevention, intervention and empowerment to children and families most vulnerable to human trafficking and exploitation.
The drive received a generous in-kind donation of hundreds of items from Mattel and dozens of donations by BHBA members through the drive’s Amazon list. Anyone can purchase toys and clothes for the drive at https://amzn.to/3ny4AHT.
“We so appreciate the generosity of Mattel for a second year in a row. Those toys will ease financial stress for many families this season,” Ava Jahanvash, BHBA Barristers President said.
“We are also thankful for our members who made toy and clothes donations through the Amazon list. BHBA’s Barristers – our newer lawyers division – do an annual year-end charitable project, and we are honored to once again partner with Inner City Visions to ensure we directly help families in need.”
BHBA is in its 10th decade, serving more than 16,000 lawyers in Southern California and around the world. BHBA serves its members, leads the profession, campaigns for legislation and legal decisions supporting equal rights and the independence of the judiciary. BHBA also advocates for justice by offering continuing legal education, networking events, marketing services, publications, a legal staff referral service, leadership and professional growth opportunities, pro bono programs, and legislative advocacy activities. BHBA members who are 36 years old or younger, or who have been licensed for eight or fewer years, are automatically Barristers.
