The Chap celebrates FIFA World Cup
Hollywood’s newest British-inspired pub, The Chap in the “Vinyl District” by Ten Five Hospitality, serves up comfort food favorites, alongside a variety of European beers and classic cocktails. In honor of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, The Chap will offer a viewing party on Nov. 25, with festivities for the USA vs England game from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come back and listen to performances by The Chap’s in-house fiddle band and DJ sets in the evening. Expats and locals will want to come back to The Chap when it airs the Argentina vs. Mexico game on Saturday, Nov. 26. Private dining den at OTOTO
Parties of six to 10 people celebrating the holidays can reserve a private table that will give you the feeling that you are in a cozy Izakaya in Tokyo or Osaka. Chef and owner Charles Namba is offering three special adventures that are meant to be shared with a group. Guests can choose two seasonal appetizers including their famous Japanese Caesar Salad and Buta Shumai (steamed pork dumplings), plus one main such as Nabe hot pot or fried chicken that comes with sides. There is also a Japanese steakhouse dinner and a seasonal dessert. The meal also includes a platter of seasonal tempura and two sashimi supplements. Make it a rock and roll FIFA World Cup at Gary Twinn’s British gastropub, Market Tavern, located in the Original Farmers Market at Third and Fairfax. LA’s best local pub is showing all the 11am games (except Thanksgiving) on eight big screens and gearing up for an exciting face-off between England and USA on Friday, Nov. 25. FIFA World Cup Viewing Party
Now through Sunday, Dec. 28, the Lobby Lounge at Santa Monica’s Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows is hosting International Soccer Tournament viewing parties for select games at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The re-designed hotel bar and lounge will feature a special breakfast and lunch menu.
