The Original Farmers Market will welcome Prosperity Market to Third and Fairfax on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
Founded by makeup and fashion industry veterans Carmen Dianne and Kara Still, Prosperity Market is a mobile farmers market with Black farmers, food producers, entrepreneurs, artists, florists and chefs. The innovative market was founded to address food insecurity and economic instability within the Black community amid the pandemic and social unrest in 2020. Prosperity Market is held as a pop-up several times a month around Los Angeles.
More than one dozen vendors will sell produce, granola, coffee, sauces and spices at the Prosperity Market. A DJ and children’s craft station will be available.
The Original Farmers Market is located at 6333 W. Third St. For information, visit farmersmarketla .com.
