The Los Angeles Master Chorale has appointed Miles Benickes, Ann Graham Ehringer, Lorna Fitzgerald, Emory Ron Myrick and Lisa Richardson to its board of directors.
The board, chaired by Philip A. Swan, provides leadership in carrying out the Master Chorale’s mission of sharing choral music with the widest possible audience.
“We are excited to welcome these distinguished individuals to the Master Chorale’s dedicated board of directors,” Swan said. “Their wealth of experience and commitment to the arts will be invaluable to the entire organization.”
Benickes retired from the financial services industry in April 2019 after a 43-year career managing the trading and underwriting of municipal bonds. He was a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Bond Dealers Association of America.
Ehringer has served as an independent outside director on the boards of over 40 companies across a wide range of private, public and nonprofit organizations, with revenues ranging from then under $1 million to over $1 billion.
Fitzgerald joined the Capital Group in April 2005 after serving in leadership positions in the technology industry and a lengthy career in academia. She joined Capital Group as vice president in its North American Distribution Team. She previously worked for Intel in positions in market research and marketing strategy management.
Myrick moved to Los Angeles with his family in the late 1950s and graduated from Manual Arts High School. He is an active senior retiree and supporter of the Master Chorale.
Richardson is president and CEO of Rise Communications LLC., a media and marketing firm representing clients that drive cultural, civic, educational and philanthropic change. Before founding Rise, Lisa was the director of marketing and communications for Hueston Hennigan LLP, a leading boutique law firm headquartered in Los Angeles.
The Master Chorale reaches over 175,000 people a year through its concert series at Walt Disney Concert Hall, its international tours and performances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. For information, visit lamasterchorale.org.
