The public is invited to celebrate Halloween at the Larchmont Family Fair on Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2-6:30 p.m. along Larchmont Boulevard from First Street to Beverly Boulevard.

The fair is being held by the Larchmont Boulevard Association and will include music, a costume contest, pumpkin painting, pet parade, pie eating contest and bubblegum blowing contest. Puppet shows and fun programs will be presented on the children’s stage, and attendees can enjoy rides. Local schools and community organizations will staff booths, and a beer garden is available for adults 21 and over.

The theme for this year’s Larchmont Family Fair is togetherness, because it is the first time since the pandemic that the fair will return to the boulevard. Family Fair chair Betsy Malloy has teamed with Grammy nominated songwriter Cheri Moon, of Larchmont’s Snooknuk children’s play space, to create family entertainment on the children’s stage. Composer and film producer Stephen Endelman will also produce a concert featuring classic songs from movies.

The Larchmont Boulevard Association will light the fair with 15 strings of lights crisscrossing the street. The lights will be a permanent addition, making Larchmont Boulevard brighter and safer. The organization also plans to install seven strings of lights over the city’s parking lot on Larchmont Boulevard so the space can be used for evening events including movies or possibly an evening farmers’ market.
