The Beverly Hills Education Association, the teacher’s union of the Beverly Hills Unified School District, endorsed candidates Farrah Dodes and Rachelle Marcus for school board. After interviewing candidates, both received a minimum of 60% approval from the representative council.
Dodes is a parent and active leader in both the community and school district. Her hands-on experience at the district’s schools, as well as her experience with technology and the Beverly Hills Education Foundation, will help her bring a fresh pair of eyes to the board.
Rachelle Marcus is a current board member, a BHUSD teacher for over 50 years, a parent of two BHUSD students, a long-term community member and a member of the school board for the past four years.
BHEA said Marcus has the knowledge and experience to be re-elected.
