The New Arts Foundation presents ‘High as the Sky’ art event
Tickets went on sale Aug. 2 for The New Arts Foundation’s upcoming art event, “High as the Sky.”
The event is scheduled for Aug. 20 from 5-9 p.m. at the historic Great Hall/Long Hall in West Hollywood’s Plummer Park, and is supported in part by an arts development grant from the city of West Hollywood.
The event is curated by Greg Jenkins, a provocateur-type artist with ties to Kanye West, and will feature the work of 15 contemporary artists from seven different countries, all working in Los Angeles, as well as performances, live music and local business pop-ups. Additionally, 10% of ticket sales will be donated to The Trevor Project, a West Hollywood-based mental health organization for LGBTQ youth.
Artists include Rodrigo Arruda, Joachim Castaneda, Siena Foster-Soltis, Kristofor Giordano, Elizabeth Herring, Leila Jarman, Antonio Okun, Minga Opazo, Yana Pan, Stephanie Quirola, Gert Resinger, Hal Roeser, Anny Wass and Yanbin Zhao.
New Arts is a nonprofit arts collective known for its controversial, boundary-pushing events that challenge art market institutions.
