Jewish Family Service, Los Angeles has announced the appointment of Randy Magnin as the new chair of the board of directors. Five new members of the board were also appointed.
Magnin is a long-time JFSLA board member who previously served as treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee. He is a certified public accountant who owns the firm Livingstons, Omens & Magnin in Beverly Hills. He began his involvement with JFSLA over 30 years ago by volunteering with the Young Leaders group.
“I want to thank the Jewish Family Service L.A. Nominating Committee for selecting me to be chair,” Magnin said. “When I look at the unbelievably high-quality names on the list of past chairs of this board, it’s hard for me to believe that I’m here as chair of this great agency. I will work hard to and sincerely hope that I live up to the faith that has been placed in me.”
Jewish Family Service, Los Angeles also welcomed new members Michael Gendler, Monique Maas Gibbons, Rachael Kallick, Georgette Morrow and Dustin Rosen. Gendler, a founding member of Gendler & Kelly, is an entertainment lawyer who represents actors, writers, producers and directors. He was recently honored at the 29th annual Jewish Family Service L.A. Gala with the Susie Forer-Dehrey Spirit of Humanity Award.
Gibbons is a business services manager with Gibbons Organizational Services and has focused her leadership skills on educational institutions, serving as president of the Beverly Hills Education Foundation. Rachael Kallick is an account director with 9th Wonder Agency and was previously co-chair of the JFSLA Young Leaders group. Morrow was the executive vice president of finance with CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Studios and has served on the Jewish Family Service L.A. Finance Committee for years. Rosen is a managing partner and founder of Wonder Ventures, a technology venture capital firm.
