The 9th annual Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Run, presented by UCLA Health, returns to Dodger Stadium with a special sunset edition on Saturday, Aug. 13.
The event will feature a 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Run within the stadium property. This year’s run will also feature a cooldown lap, Health + Wellness Expo and special appearances from Dodgers alumni. The events begin at 4 p.m. In keeping with LADF’s emphasis on youth health and wellness, WSS will be the youth-runner sponsor, allowing 3,000 youth to participate for free.
“We are grateful to our Dodger fans for their continued support in helping us address our city’s most pressing problems,” said Nichol Whiteman, CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. “Together, we can effectively change the lives of Angelenos across the city. By simply registering, participants are aiding us in leveling the playing field and investing in solutions driven by the youth and communities we serve.”
“Our sponsorship of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Sunset Run has become a signature event for UCLA Health, where we deeply value community engagement,” UCLA Health president and UCLA Hospital System CEO Johnese Spisso said. “Our partnership with the Dodgers and the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation serves as a powerful example of how organizations can come together in support of the common goal of improving the health and wellness of our community.”
In-person participants and spectators at Dodger Stadium will enjoy sunset views of the Downtown L.A. skyline and Centerfield Plaza. Runners have several courses to choose from this year featuring live music and DJs.
UCLA Health returns as a presenting sponsor and will be participating in the race and Health + Wellness Expo. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and Levelwear are sponsoring the event. Golden Road Brewing will provide a beer garden for runners 21 and older.
Dodgers alumni will cheer on and congratulate runners as they cross the finish line. All registered runners will receive a Dodgers ‘22 tech shirt, finisher’s medal, race bib, access to the Health + Wellness Expo and a limited-edition Mookie Betts Run Bobblehead.
Registered runners can pick up race packets on Friday, Aug. 12 from 1-7 p.m. in the Centerfield Plaza, where the Health + Wellness Expo will also be open. All runners who show their race bib will also get 20% off select merchandise at the Dodger Team Store during race weekend.
