Authorities in Beverly Hills are investigating how a man fell from a tree and died on July 28 on Coldwater Canyon Drive.
BHPD spokesman Lt. Giovanni Trejo said at approximately 2:48 p.m., the Beverly Hills Police Dispatch Center received multiple 911 calls from citizens regarding an unconscious man suffering from a head injury in the 1100 block of Coldwater Canyon Drive. Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner identified the decedent as Roberto Ramirez, 31.
Trejo said investigators determined Ramirez climbed a tree along the road and fell to his death.
“We still don’t know why he was up on the tree, or how he climbed the tree,” Trejo said. “At this time, we don’t have any indication to say he was a tree trimmer.”
Anyone with information is urged to call the BHPD at (310)550-4951.
