The Beverly Vista Middle School PTA on Aug. 19 hosted a back-to-school carnival to welcome new and returning students.

The event offered multiple carnival attractions, such as a zipper ride, flying swings, a ninja course, bumper suits, laser tag and a giant slide.

The carnival was made possible through a donation from Beverly Vista alum Michael J. Libow.

The BVMS PTA teamed up with community partners to provide special engagement opportunities for officers and firefighters to spend quality time with students, building relationships that district officials hope to foster throughout the school year.
