LouLou Restaurant and Lounge opens
Located on the rooftop deck of the Santa Monica Place, the new and innovative French-Mediterran-ean restaurant and lounge, LouLou, is having its grand opening on Saturday, July 23. Escape to the French Rivera on the rooftop looking out to the ocean, with candlelit trees and earthy design components in this upscale space. Black Business Scavenger Hunt
During the month of August, Prosperity Market LA’s groundbreaking mobile farmers market hosts a month-long event inspiring participants to visit and shop in the city’s black-owned businesses with a chance to win prizes. Founders Kara Still and Carmen Dianne have partnered with 50+ Black entrepreneurs across food, fashion, arts and entertainment, and developed clues to encourage participants to discover local shops, cafes and galleries. Take a journey through Inglewood, Compton, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Pasadena and the Valley visiting an upscale wine bar, designer retail boutique, plus the best coffee shops and restaurants from vegan to soul food. Each week in August, Prosperity Market releases clues on their website and Instagram (@Prosperity.Market) to unlock the designated locations. Participants can earn points by visiting locations, checking in and taking a photo with a QR code and sharing on Instagram or via email. Lilly Rose teams up with Bruichladdich
On Wednesday, July 27, Downtown LA’s whimsical underground bar, Lilly Rose is teaming up with Scottish distillery Bruichladdich. The bar hosts a private screening of “The Water of Life” documentary along with an interactive whiskey tasting experience. Take a 90-minute visual journey to the Bruichladdich distillery.
