The Beverly Hills High School KBEV Broadcast Team placed sixth in the nation during the SkillsUSA National Championships, a live broadcast competition in Atlanta. They performed an on-site, three-minute program production recorded in real-time in front of judges. They also completed written technical tests.
Media advisor/director Romeo Carey’s young all-women BHHS KBEV broadcast team brought home the highest national broadcast honor in its history.
The team won its spot representing the state of California at the SkillsUSA National Championships when it took first place at the Los Angeles regional in February and first place at the state of California Competition in Ontario in April. The rising seniors are already planning on returning next year to build on their recent success.
