The Original Farmers Market and Kaylin + Kaylin present the inaugural Pickle Palooza pickle eating contest on Saturday, June 18, from 1-3 p.m.

Join Kaylin + Kaylin owner Scott Kaylin, also known as “the pickle man,” at the event, which will be co-hosted by KTLA 5 Morning News anchor Chris Schauble. There will be three competitions featuring different flavors of Kaylin’s specialty pickles: savory, spicy and sweet. Winners will be judged on quantity of pickles eaten and technique.

Pickle-themed photo ops, children’s activities, food and treats will be available. A portion of proceeds from Kaylin + Kaylin’s sales from June 17-19 will be donated to LA ResearchHERS, a campaign inspiring women to consider careers in science. All proceeds from a pickle-in-a-jar guessing contest will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
