The Beverly Hills Police Department is mourning retired detective Jim Brickert, who died from a medical emergency on June 2 at the age of 67.
Brickert began his career with the BHPD in 1982 and served in several assignments including patrol, traffic, station officer, range master and detective. He was passionate about photography, Harley Davidson motorcycles and the outdoors. Brickert was known for having a positive outlook on life and always supporting fellow officers and friends. The BHPD remembered him as an outstanding employee known for diligence, skill, thoroughness and knowledge.
Brickert is survived by his wife Kathy. Memorial services arrangements are pending.
