The city of Beverly Hills’ Community Services Department, in partnership with the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the city’s Arts and Culture and Human Relations commissions and Next Beverly Hills Committee, will launch its first outdoor Pride celebration at 7 p.m. on June 2 in honor of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Beverly Hills Pride Night will kick off Pride Month with a special outdoor event featuring live entertainment, hosted by musician Tolliver and KCRW host Novena Carmel, celebrating diverse families and community. Entertainment will include a roster of the region’s leading LBGTQIA+ performers including musical artist Zee Machine, actress Bri Giger, musician and performance artist Polartropica, musician and soloist San Cha, musician and performance artist Jeshua, drag artist and performer Miss Barbie Q and DJ THEYTEE.
Beverly Hills’ inaugural Pride celebration is part of the city’s Embrace & Celebrate Culture Initiative, an inter-commission collaboration of the city of Beverly Hills’ Arts and Culture and Human Relations commissions, Next Beverly Hills Committee and the Community Services Department. Festivities will also bring special lighting to City Hall, and special events and activities to the city. Beverly Hills Pride 2022 festivities are a natural progression of the city’s commitment to, and support for, embracing and celebrating cultural diversity, equity, inclusion and providing greater visibility and recognition of LGBTQIA+ community members and visitors, city leader said.
The event will be held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, which is located at 9390 N. Santa Monica Blvd. Mayor Lili Bosse and other community leaders will speak at 7:55 p.m.
