The Pie Bake a’ la Beverly Hills & Piesta returns to the Beverly Hills Farmers Market on Sunday, June 12, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 9300 Civic Center Drive.
The free event features a curated pie competition, pie-eating contest for adults and children, ingredient juggling by Mike the Juggler and kid-friendly pie activities. Cheer on the competition, engage in fun-filled activities and enjoy a selection of California-grown produce, juices, breads and specialty items.
Twenty contestants entered the pie contest. Judges will critique the pies based on appearance, creativity, crust, consistency and flavor. The panel of judges is comprised of Recreation and Parks Commission chair Amie Sherry and commissioners Susan Mishler and Julian Javor, as well as past contest winners. Beverly Hills Mayor Lili Bosse will announce the winners. Awards will be given to first-, second- and third-place winners, as well as to the winners of the pie-eating contest.
The Pie Bake a’ la Beverly Hills & Piesta is held in conjunction with the weekly Beverly Hills Farmers’ Market along the 9300 block of Civic Center Drive, between Third Street and Santa Monica Boulevard. All regular farmers and prepared foods vendors will be featured at the market, as well as pony rides and a petting zoo.
