Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Traffic Division are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver responsible for a fatal hit-and-run collision on May 5.
Police said a white sedan was traveling southbound on Vermont Avenue near Pico Boulevard at approximately around 10:10 p.m. when the driver collided with a pedestrian who was running westbound across the street. The collision threw the pedestrian onto the roadway, where he was struck by a Metro bus traveling southbound on Vermont Avenue. The pedestrian died at the scene.
Investigators had no further information about the suspect’s vehicle. Anyone with information is urged to contact West Traffic Division detectives at (213)473-0234.
