Capri opens at Eataly Los Angeles
Located on Eataly’s main floor, this limited-time dining experience is offering lunch and dinner service. Inspired by the idyllic Mediterranean island of Capri, the menu features authentic southern Italian dishes in an Amalfi Coast atmosphere. Pass through a sweeping trellis of lemon trees leading to a patio where tables are shaded by blue and white umbrellas. Beverage Director and Napoli native Luigi Capasso developed a playful beverage menu and selected some wonderful Southern Italy wines. Standout drinks include the Cocktail dei Faraglioni, which is made with Prosecco and garnished with a local California fruit popsicle. Build-your-own spritz to enjoy with executive chef and Napoli native Giuseppe Manco’s bright, flavorful pasta dishes and seafood. Guests can choose from three different varieties of mozzarella served tableside with a selection of local tomatoes and other accompaniments from the restaurant’s caprese cart. Finish with a light sponge cake glazed in lemon custard and dusted with lemon zest. Veggie Grill Japanese katsu-style sliders
For a limited time, Veggie Grill is seving IMPOSSIBLE meat patties in slider-sized portions and marinating them in a lemongrass buttermilk bath and panko before frying them to a crisp perfection. These sliders are topped with house-pickled vegetables, fresh herbs and sesame aioli, and gently tucked into warm, freshly steamed bao buns. Lady M new peach cobbler mille crepes
The luxury confections brand with French baking techniques has a new Southern-inspired cake flavor. In collaboration with “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star and Georgia native Sutton Stracke, layers of thin handmade crêpes are filled with peach-infused blonde chocolate pastry cream, topped with delicate sugar-glazed peach slices and a crispy vanilla crumble. HiHo Cheeseburger opens at Sportsman Lodge
In time for National Burger Month, HiHo Cheeseburger has opened at The Shop at The Sportsman Lodge. HiHo Cheeseburger is the first and only burger restaurant to exclusively serve 100% grass-fed Wagyu beef. This elevated version of the classic American cheeseburger is lower in saturated fat, while higher in heart-healthy Omega-3s, vitamins and antioxidants. Chuck roast is ground in-house daily. HiHo cheeseburger features two mustard grilled patties, American cheese, lettuce, onion jam and house-made pickles. They also offer a vegetarian HiHo burger, made-from-scratch shakes and Willie Mae fried chicken sandwich. They hand cut the fries and make their own banana cream pie, key lime pie and cheesecake. Pizzana debuts a cocktail menu
Pizzana is known for its “slow dough” organic, stone-ground flour crust that is fermented for 48 hours. Now the pies can be enjoyed with a new cocktail program, alongside wine and beer selections. The thoughtfully crafted cocktail list is inspired by flavors from master pizzaiolo Daniele Uditi’s Southern Italy coastal beach roots and his wife Daniele’s Mexican heritage. This May, enjoy McConnell’s frozen treat with a rosé twist. The ice cream is made from grass-grazed milk and cream, and organic, cage-free eggs.
