The U.S. Green Building-Los Angeles Chapter’s outdoor sustain­ability festival will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Los Angeles Trade Tech College. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will include art, music, interactive showcases, demonstra­tions, career information and educa­tion focused on actionable sustain­ability skills. Jonathan Scott, of “Property Brothers,” will give a keynote speech on net-zero build­ing. The event also includes work­shops and forums on sustainability, as well as 50 booths and exhibits. Learn about greening homes and offices, gardening with native and pollinator-friendly plants, home composting, recycling and upcy­cling, and implementing the best defenses for wildfires.

USGBC-LA’s festival is the largest gathering of sustainability and green building advocates in Southern California.
