After performances of “Falla & Flamenco” with the Los Angeles Philharmonic in 2015 and 2019, Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company returns with “Flamenco Intimo” on June 3 at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre.
Known for her collaborations with LA Phil music and artistic director Gustavo Dudamel, as well as Flamenco stars Farruquito and Antonio Canales, Garrido delivers her contemporary vision of Flamenco dance. Offering vivid performances with stunning costumes, the program showcases original music by guitarist Jose Luis de la Paz, in addition to choreography and flamenco solos by the company and Garrido. Eleven artists will take the stage, including composer Juan Parilla on flute and Adolfo Herrera on percussion, as well as vocalists Manuel Gago, David El Galli and Ismael Fernandez.
Siudy Garrido Flamenco Company has helped drive the evolution of Flamenco music and dance in America. The program presents a contemporary vision of the ancient Spanish art form.
Tickets start at $55. The Wilshire Ebell Theatre is located at 4401 W. Eighth St. For information, visit ebellofla.com/theatre /event-calendar and flamencointimo.ticketmundo.com.
