Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation is inviting residents to fuel their souls by attending a free, drop-in activity during sunset at an L.A. County park near them. Hosted by the department, Parks at Sunset features a variety of family-friendly experiences – from meditation and yoga to dance jams and canvas painting.
Green spaces, physical activity and social connections play a powerful role in health, fitness and overall wellbeing. Even the simple act of taking in a sunset can have a positive impact on mental health, according to the department.
Residents are invited to pick an evening in May and enjoy the healing benefits of being part of an outdoor activity with friends, family or by themselves while taking in a breathtaking sunset.
In addition, the department is offering a robust line-up of free programs available to the residents of L.A. County. From exploring gardens and nature nights to sports leagues, teen programs and recreation classes of all types and for all ages, there is something for residents of all ages.
