The Historic Filipinotown Eastern Gateway, officially called “Talang Gabay-Our Guiding Star,” will be officially unveiled on Saturday, May 7, with a large community celebration from 4-7 p.m.

The event will include a ribbon-cutting, lighting ceremony, music and dance performances, and appearances from celebrities and elected officials, including Los Angeles City Council President Pro Tempore Mitch O’Farrell, 13th District. The new gateway, which was 20 years in the making, is the largest of its kind in the United States.

The event will be held at Beverly Boulevard at Belmont Avenue in Historic Filipinotown.
