Detectives in Beverly Hills have arrested two suspects for an armed robbery on May 3 that occurred in the 700 block of North Camden Drive. Police said the crime was not random and believe the victims were targeted.
The robbery occurred at approximately 5:10 a.m. in a residential neighborhood in the western portion of the Flats, north of Santa Monica Boulevard. Police received a call for “unknown trouble” and determined at least two armed suspects had entered a home and forced residents to surrender property. There were no injuries reported. On May 4, BHPD officers arrested Anthony Chavez Avila, of Lancaster, and Charles Daniel Chiodo, of Sylmar, in connection with the robbery.
