Police arrested a suspect for allegedly starting fires on April 9 near Highland Avenue and Sixth Street in Hancock Park.
The arrest was reported by Magen Am, a company that provides security services in Hancock Park. A resident called Magen Am to report a suspicious individual trespassing on their property. Members of a Magen Am patrol arrived and witnessed the individual attempting to light multiple fires in bushes in the area.
The Los Angeles police and fire departments were called, and officers arrested the suspected arsonist. No further information was provided about the crimes. Magen Am will continue to cooperate with the LAPD and LAFD on the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call the LAPD’s Wilshire Division at (213)473-0476.
